Using a man-lift to access difficult areas where bats can enter
_
Bat removal is a four step process:
Bat Inspection / Risk Assessment::
The first step is to determine if bats are using the building and what the best approach is to solve the problem. Once the inspection is complete, we will know how bad the bat problem is and what risks the bats pose to the occupants. We will know challenges the job presents and what equipment / materials are needed to complete the job. A detailed inspection report with photographs is offered to our customers. This report includes our recommendations and cost to solve the problem. This report can be used by the customer to present to their insurance company.

Sealing all gaps and openings
_ Initial Bat Proofing:
The second step is to seal all openings that bats can enter to roost. These gaps / openings can be as small as 3/8" and requires attention to detail and knowledge of bat behavior. Only the highest quality of materials are used to seal the structure. This insures that the structure stays sealed for a very long time.
Important:
Skipping the second step or failing to complete it correctly will most likely result in unsatisfactory results.

Installing the one-way valve
_The third step is to install a one-way valve at the main entrance to allow the bats in the structure to leave during the night and not allow, or exclude, them from re-entering. This is a humane way of removing bats from a structure and allowing them to establish a new roost elsewhere.
The one-way valve is left in place for a period of time and then it is removed. The opening is then sealed.

_The fourth step is to clean up any accumulated bat dropping (guano) and crystallized urine. Bat guano and urine can place strains on and in the building structure, cause strong odors, reduce the (R-value), insulation's ability to function properly, and can harbor bat bugs or other bat parasites. We recommend removal of guano when these conditions exist. After guano removal is complete. A Antimicrobial Agent is applied along with odor control.
We are one of only a few companies in the area that has the vacuum equipment to remove large volumes of contaminated insulation.
